This poem was written as an assignment at the Language class where we had to pen down our thoughts in just fifteen minutes flat.I sat at my favourite spot near the window and wrote this.
This poem always brings fond memories of my favourite English teacher at college, Richa Madam.
Majestic ancient buildings vying for space with the new,
Long winding roads with cars that move as if on cue.
The gateway of India stands basking in all her glory,
Tourists and merry-makers revel in her magnificent story.
The vast sea beyond brings an untold calm,
The feelings that I possess now have a wordless charm.
far down below I see increasing crowds swarming,
Each one lost in thought-with a desire, a longing.
Up from this window when I pause to look and see ,
My tensions and worries disappear, my mind-it roams free!
