Motherhood

 After two years of marriage I longed for something more,
Yearned for the joy of motherhood ,a little girl to adore.

My joys knew no bounds when the stork was on its way,
After about nine months of waiting dawned the golden day.

I held her in my arms, a body soft and warm,
Exhilarated on gently feeling her wondrous miniature form.

I watched my daughter grow under my love and care,
Cherished the lovely moments ,even the hardships I did bear.

I say a silent prayer for my little gem each day,
Pray for the Almighty's blessings to guide her on her way.
