This was written when the Godhra riots took place at Gujarat where people travelling in a train were burnt alive and there was widespread rioting among two communities.
Gujarat burns with communal rage,unabated terror rules the state,
Mosque or mandir,what will it be? Who will win this war of hate?
Poverty ,corruption and illiteracy too ,in this land of gandhi now dwells,
All these issues take a backseat now,only religious fervour and fanatism sells.
My beloved countrymen,think awhile,the disputed land over which you fight,
Is just a piece of land,nothing more,stop your claim on what is not your right.
Search not for God in temple or mosque,Ram nor Allah will be proud of you,
For the kingdom of God is in your heart,seek Him there and be a human true.
