A-sailing We Go!!!

The excitement, the thrill
Something special, something new
Off I went a-sailing
With my dear friends few.

Once there at the iconic Gateway
Greeted by Trikoners' smiles,
With snacks and caps complimentary
All set to sail a few nautical miles.

As we awaited our turn
All around the Sunday crowd thronged,
The old and new Taj stood proud
Boats and ferries stood in the water,where they belonged.

So into a little boat we crowded
To be taken into the sea,
Where surrounded by deep waters
Our sail boat would be.

What an amazing feeling
To be in the sea with friends,
Going up and down with the waves
Listening to the waves as day and night blends.

For a few minutes all we did was feel
The tranquility and the calm ,
All our worries pushed into oblivion
The experience was like a soothing balm.

As we sailed further far into the sea,
We chatted and sang as shadows were cast,
Time and again we thanked our lucky stars
For this experience which will in our memories last.

We saw the setting sun as we made our way back,
Satiated,de-stressed,but still longing for more,
A wonderful evening had come to an end,
We had sailed in the sea, and were happy to the core!

The sailing event was over
But the memories will forever last
The cool evening in the boat with friends
Will be etched in our wonderful past.
