There were a spate a calamities that Mumbai bore in quick succession between the year 2005-2006.
Floods,bomb-blasts and bandh........the city witnessed it all.
This poem was a salute to Mumbai's never say die spirit.
The ghosts of 26/7 haunted us once more,
yet again rains showers brought misery at our door.
Then that very Sunday the saffron brigade struck,
They held the city to ransom as miscreants smeared muck.
Mumbai bore all silently came to each others rescue,
Before they could recover another blow came through.
Bomb-blasts ripped the city ,brought us to a standstill,
Innocent lives were snuffed out ,the fanatics were out to kill.
Yet again poor Mumbai ,she had to go through hell,
But was back on her toes,on her past she couldn't dwell.
But it's time now to awake,stop living in fool's paradise,
Let's get our forces together and against terrorism rise.
We have shown indomitable spirit and resilience for long,
Now be aware and fight back,Yeah Mumbai,you are strong!!!
