R for Reach Out!

I just read about a healthy lad,
Who donated a part of his liver,
Doing thus, a noble deed,
From an ordinary person he became a giver!

There are so many out there who need your help,
They are not as blessed as you,
When you reach out,do what you can,
You join the clan of the noble few!

Reach out, for it's always time to do good,
Donate blood for it save many a life,
Feel the sense of immense satisfaction,
By being a giver in these days of strife!


Even when you are dead and gone,
Do you know you can donate your organs eight?
Blessed are those who donate their parts,
As organ-donars in a cadaver state!

I know of parents ,who on losing their child,
Even in that emotional state,
'Have come forward with heavy a heart,
Their loved ones' organs to donate!

There is no greater gift than that of a life,
So instead of pledging money for a religious cause,
Go right ahead ,pledge your organs,
Don't hesitate, don't stop or pause!

Your blood, your eyes, liver and heart,
Skin ,bone-marrow and stem cells,
All of these can be put to use,
Someone,somewhere, in need of these there dwells.

So be an organ donor,
Reach out even when you are dead,
Make your life an inspiration for others,
Towards a better,brighter future we will head!
