All I Want to do......

When I read of rape,molestation and more,
See another girl die a silent death',
Live her life  without living her dream,
All I want to do is scream.

When women are treated like objects of lust,
Subjugated,victimised  and ostracised,
And yet when people think its not as bad as it may seem
All I want to do is scream.

When the perpetrator roams free without a care,
The victim hides her face in shame,
When it shatters what's left of her self-esteem,
All I want to do is scream.

When there are some who put up a fight,
Surge ahead with unbridled power and force,
There are,but a few who will support that team,
All I want to do is scream.

Wake up,people and do what is right,
All she asks for is to live a respectful life,
And because no one really  understands her dream,
All I want to do is scream.

I want to scream when no one understands,
I want to scream when no one speaks out,
I want to scream when no one supports,
All I want to do is scream.

I want to scream when she underestimates her worth,
I want to scream when she curses her fate,
I want to scream when she does not fight back,
All I want to do is scream.
